After a conspicuously quiet few weeks at the start of the year Scots-born rock musician Bob Findlay has, in the previous few weeks, resurfaced on the music scene with something of a conspicuous bang. Findlays centralisation push which began mid-2008 has seen him focus his musical activities to ReverbNation, iLike and his ?Bob Findlay Music Page’ on Facebook. In February Findlay released a 2-part video ironically entitled ?Uncut? where he fielded ten selected questions submitted by his supporters on his Facebook ?Bob Findlay Music Page.? The 2-part video, produced by ?Weeldoo Productions,? has also been released on ReverbNation, WordPress and YouTube. On the video an animated Findlay talks with great intensity about varying aspects of his music since returning to the industry in April 2007 and it is widely rumoured that a video interview is in the pipeline. Findlay and his media team, headed by Hay guitar strap ch Storm, have also seen social networking sites such as Twitter, Digg, Propeller, Yahoo buzz and Reddit, to name a few, being peppered with updates of the musicians goings on. It is also interesting to note that no ?coming-soon? type announcements have been made in recent weeks with Findlay and his team opting to promote an event to a broader audience with military-style synchronisation and consistency. Findlays second digital album ?Renegade? was released on March 15th and is rating extremely well. With four #1 songs on the nine-track album this is hardly surprising. More recently it has been announced that his next album ?Barnstorm? will be released June 10th exclusively on iTunes. In yet another first for Findlay he has made ?The Disease,? form the album available as a free download on iLike and ReverbNation prior to the albums? release. This is a somewhat uncommon practise within the industry.
